Overall musket is in very fine + shape. This is a very crisp, untouched in the black as found musket. It was hanging over my friends fireplace for the past 40 years and purchased from a NJ estate that had it over there fireplace forever prior. Lock is marked J.P.Moore and shows some engraving with pheasants. Trigger has a set screw that needs some adjustment. Underside of barrel has a bayonet lug and most likly will take a Brown Bess type bayonet. Overall musket measures 58 inches.Barrel measures 43 1/2". A real beauty that needs to return to the top of a fireplace.
